GOA CET 2015 Exam Date - Information

The Directorate of Technical Education has released the official notification for the Goa Common Entrance test (Goa CET) for the 2015 session. The primary purpose of conducting the exam is to check the eligibility of candidates for admissions to Medicine, Homeopathy and Dental courses and professional degree courses in Engineering and Pharmacy in various government assisted and unaided colleges of Goa.

Goa CET 2015 Test- Eligibility Details:

Candidates must be sure that they meet the eligibility standards mentioned below before filling up the application form -

  • There is no age limit for the Goa CET exam.
  • The applicant should be an Indian.
  • Applicants should have also passed class XII or its equivalent exam from a recognized institute or established university.
  • The candidate should have studied Physics, Math and English as primary subjects, along with any one of the elective subjects of Computer Science/Chemistry/Biology/Bio-Technology.
  • For dentistry and medicine degree courses, candidates should have scored  a minimum of  50% marks in the qualifying exam (40% in case of  SC/ST candidates and 45% in case of PH candidates). There is no minimal marks prescribed for other courses.
Application Procedure:

Application Forms for the GCET 2015 exam will have to be filled up in two stages. It is important that candidates provide right information in the application form, as fictitious or wrong details can result in cancellation of the form. In the first stage, interested candidates can either visit the official web site of Goa CET to download the application form or send a request letter to the Directorate of Technical Education  After filling up the form, candidates must submit it in person at notified centres.

2.Goa CET Application Form-Form B

The application form B must be filled in compliance with all the rules mentioned on the key site by the candidate in his/her own handwriting and should be duly signed by him/her and submitted at the Directorate of Technical Education. Applicants must attach two recent passport size photos with the acknowledgement and application form card at the same time.

Goa CET 2015 Test Pattern:

Under the Goa CET 2015 exam, for candidates who opt to appear for the Engineering entrance test the questions will be based on Physics, Chemistry and Math, while for the Medical and Dentistry entrance exam, questions will be based on Physics, Biology and Chemistry. There is not going to be negative marking for incorrect answers and one mark will be fetched for each right response.

Goa CET Counselling Procedure:

Candidates will be selected for admissions on the basis of the Goa CET Counselling Procedure. Candidates will be called for counselling according to their individual score and rank in the GCET Exam. Thereafter, candidates will be allotted seats and faculty in accordance with their positions.
